The Mighty Lk Button
Hello again!
As this is the 5th in our tutorial series I will assume that you already know how to upload your images, how to place them nicely in order to create a great sales page.
So now we are going to look at how the Mighty
Lk Button works.
Here it is:
The
Lk button is a mighty beast, and it gets its direction from the settings at the top of your article or tutorial editor page.
We are going to sneak up on Ewen Chia as he prepares one of his articles. Here is a snap shot of his screen as he starts to write an article.
Ewen has already selected the classification - copywriting.
He has also set the
"Live" flag to
"No" as he is just starting his article.
Now notice that he has set the
"Link to Product" to
"Yes"
and from the drop down "Link to:" menu he has selected one of his products.
So that's it. The direction set by these two selectors. The Lk button takes its direction from these settings.
You can write an article or tutorial without connecting it to any product by simply setting the
"Link to Product" to
"No".
Is there any point in doing that?
Yes, because every article that you write has a link back to your profile, and that profile displays all of your products.
Every article, and especially every tutorial, that you write grows your reputation as a real expert.
So lets get back Ewen's article.
He has started off with a heading and then below that he has an image.
From the look of the url he has used an image that he uploaded to his free Image Bank on expert-world.com. Now an image does not have to have a hyper-link but research shows that many visitors move their cursor over the image to see if there is one. And if there is, many click on it.
So let's see how you create a link from your image to your EW Sales Page.
It is so simple. Just highlight the "img" tags and everything inside and click on the Mighty
Lk button. And Bahm! the
"pl" tags get placed in your text.
Now, "pl" stands for product link (or pre-sales page link), and those tags will put a hyper-link on anything they surround.
If the image is left or right justified you can still place the link by highlighting all the tags and clicking the
Lk button.
Like this:
With text it is just as easy to place a hyper-link to your pre-sell page.
Again, simply highlight the text and hit the Mighty
Lk button.
Like this:
Simple isn't it?
Now, what if you did not create a pre-sell page, but only did the summary?
Well, no need to worry, the Mighty
Lk button checks that.
If there is no pre-sell page, it will redirect the visitor to your own sales page directly.
If you later decide that you want to use the article (or tutorial) to promote a different product, you can do so simply by changing the product from the drop-down menu. There is no need to change the
"pl" tags.
As with any of the tags, the Editor buttons are just there to help automate the process. You can copy and paste or just type in the tags if your want to. :)
That's it for now,
All the best,
John
