How to Buıld a
Great Product Pre-Sales Page
As soon as you become a member you can begin to create a Product Pre-sell Page.
This is the page which directs traffic to your own sales page via which ever affiliate network you are using.
You should begin your product pre-sell page straight away even if your product is not launched yet. Creating your pre-sell page will get you familiar with the custom editor. Since you will use the same editor for writing articles and tutorials, it is best to learn how you can get the best out of it straight away.
The custom written editor is very intuitive and contains a lot of helpful features. But before we look at this there are a couple of things you need to prepare.
First you need to decide what you will use as your main product image. You may already have an ecover or other graphic. That's fine - just so long as it is on your computer somewhere. This image is used on the product listing page.
As well as on the listing, you will probably want to use images on the pre-sell page itself. You may have some graphs or screen shots or other graphics. Because the Expert-World editor program uses
links for these images, you need to provide a url for each image. So if your images are not yet on the internet, take a look at this tutorial to see how easy it is to place your images on the internet.
"How to Upload and Use Your Images"
OK - so Lets take a look at what the Editor looks like:
The Guidance Notes.
Notice at the top you have the
Guidance Notes link.
When you mouse-over this, a green pop-up becomes visible and it gives you some reminders about what to do.
Select the Category.
The next thing to do is to select which category your product best fits. Choose wisely because it will be listed only in the category that you select.
The Live flag.
Leave the
"Live" selection at
"No" until you have
completely finished your pre-sell page and you want it reviewed by admin. It is usual to set up your page and then
review it yourself the next day to make any improvements before setting it to "live".
If you are an approved Expert, although you set the "Live" as "No", you (as the author) will be able to see what you have created when you visit your profile page. This helps you to make improvements.
Product Name.
The next element to complete is your product name. This should be the same name that you use on clickbank or other networks for the product. You want to avoid any customer confusion.
The Summary.
This section is vital as it is the text that appears next to your product image in the product listings. You must write something that will interest visitors and make them click to view your pre-sell page. Keep within the character limit and don't use more than one line break or your text will not fit into the box.
The Main Description.
This is your pre-sell page and using the custom editor you can make a very attractive, attention grabbing and high converting pre-sales info page.
You should make use of this pre-sell page in order to prepare the client to make a purchase from your main sales page. Most people want a lot of information before they pay out for a product and this info page gives you that extra step to warm up your clients before they go to your own sales page.
A good example of using this pre-sales page is Ewen Chia's product page for "Guaranteed Free Traffic" - see it here:
http://www.expert-world.com/im/Guaranteed-Free-Traffic-Ewen-Chia-D12.html
Of course you will be linking from your Expert-World articles and tutorials to this pre-sell page, but additionally you can also link directly to it from articles that you post on article directories or blog posts or forum posts. By using this pre-sell page as a "landing page" visitors will see that you are a recognized expert in your field. You will gain from the credibility the Expert-World.com passes on to all its experts.
First - delete that ".n." or the "none" - which ever one is there.
Good! Now let's begin!
Your Headline Intro.
These days many marketers are using an introductory question or statement before their main heading, like this:
You thought it would never happen,
but yesterday this just blew out of control ...
Viral Facebook Sales System
Linkage for Ebay Auctions
Don't rush off and try to buy this - I just made it up to demonstrate the editor functions :)
This headline intro and headline was easily created using the color, size and center buttons on the Editor menu. For each step you first highlight the text, then click the button.
The resulting text looks like this on my screen:
You can see that I have also added bold tags around both text blocks.
The Color Sector.
The color drop down box gives you quick access to 32 popular color choices. However you can have any color that you want. If you know the color code number that you want, you can insert that into the color tags.

The Other Buttons.
The
bold,
italic,
underline and
strike-through are all pretty obvious, but the
Quotation and
Picture Insert tools are extremely important and deserve full explanation.
Placing images in your pre-sell pages is similar to placing them in articles and tutorials. You can learn about both Image Placement and Quotations in this tutorial:
"How to Add Stunning Images to Your Articles"
There is just one difference to remember, when placing images in pre-sell pages, there is no need to add a link, images are automatically linked to your main sales page. In articles and tutorials, however, if you want a link - you use the
Lk button.
OK. - That leaves just one function to discuss:
The mighty Lk button.
We discuss the
Lk function in this tutorial:
"How to Link From Your Articles to Your Pre-sell Pages"
OK - so that's it for now.
All the best,
John.
