Great News!
Now you can easily write interesting
and informative articles and tutorials
with graphics and photos included.
The custom editor that Experts use when writing articles and tutorials and for creating their Product sales Pages includes some
very special features.
This is the custom editor:
Starting at the left hand side, here you can see the
bold,
italic,
underline and
strike-through
symbols which are readily available.
You can see that I have used them above.
Then next to these we have the text positioning functions:
the left, center and right justify buttons.
These can be used on both text and images in order to center them or to push them over to the left or right hand side of the page.
After that are some even more interesting symbols :-)
The Lk symbol
That
Lk symbol is used to create a hyper-link from selected words (or an image) to a product sales page. Now that is pretty cool! We will talk more about this in another tutorial.
The Quotation button
To put a sentence in the quotation box you simply highlight the words and click that quotation balloon button. Your words will get a square bracketed set of
q's around them.
Like this:
And the result?
It shows up like this:
| Quoted sentences tend to carry much more influence in the mind of the reader because they are seen to be an independent authority. Therefore using quotations - even if it is only yourself - adds credibility to your sales pitch. |
OK - now we come to the Picture symbol!
The Picture Insert tool
Now, you may have seen it on various forums but it is very seldom used on forums. But here we use it with our article or tutorial writing scripts and it suddenly becomes an awesomely powerful tool!
To use this tool,
your pictures must be on the internet somewhere because you need to be able to give the url for the image. This tool links to an existing image so you need to get your images onto the internet in order to supply the url for the image.
If your images are on your computer and you want a quick way to place them securely on the internet, then you can use the "Upload Images" utility.
Please read
"How to Upload and Store Your Images" tutorial for a step-by-step instruction on this subject.
So what happens when you hit the Picture Insert button?
You get a little pop-up box asking for the image url.
Here is what you will see:
So into this box you put your images url. If your image is already on the internet, just right click on it and the "copy image location". Then go back to this pop-up box and "paste" the url into it.
Like this:
Now you can see that these images are positioned to the left and then in the center of this page. This was easily done by highlighting the image url and the clicking on the left or center justify buttons.
Here is what the centered one looks like:
Notice that as well as the
img tags, there are also those
c tags. They do the centering. And they work on text or images.
Great, but can I wrap text around an image?
Good question!
Yes you can. And it is dead easy!
Simply highlight that image code and this time click on the image justify buttons. There are two buttons, and you can probably just make out that text is wrapping around the image.
Here is an example:

Now when you click on the left hand side symbol you get the result that you see here.
As you can see, the image has been pushed over to the left and the text is nicely wrapping round the image with a margin of about 40 pixels.
We have used one of Ewens images here as a demonstration but you can easily do the same with your own images.
The text that you see in your editor page will contain
lp tags. Those letters stand for left picture.
Here is what you will see:
Of course the same can be done to push the image over to the right hand side and wrap text by using the other button. In that case you would see an
rp tag in your editor page.
OK, this is the end of this tutorial. I suggest that you experiment with this editor and get familiar with its power. Soon you too will be creating extremely high quality tutorials.
Best wishes,
John.
